Explanation:
1.Neutron is the heaviest since it contains 2 down quarks and one up quark while proton contains 2 up quarks and one down quark. Down quark has more energy than up quark thus it’s nuclear force is stronger. Neutron is considered as the dead weight of the atom.
2. Even though an atom can contain a lot of electron, the weight is takes up in an atom is about 1/100 of the atom
3.As I said in number 1, neutron is heavier than proton however their difference in weight is kind of tiny.
4. Neutron takes up so much weight of the atom that it sometimes take up more than 1/2 of it’s weight however some atoms contain less neutron and some contains more so it depends. One example is the most common isotope of Hydrogen know as Protium because it contains no neutron however there is also called an isotope of Hydrogen called Tritium which contains 1 proton and 2 neutrons so in short the neutron takes up about 2/3 of that isotopes atomic weight.
